A while ago, I was lucky enough to attend a parish planning committee meeting for our annual church festival. Someone asked the priest what his goal was. His answer was very simple.
To build community.
I listened. I nodded. I deeply nodded. And I took those instructions to every single area of my life.
So when I got the call… hey, would you ever consider… I said yes.
To build community.
In this tangled world, sometimes justice looks like justice. Sometimes it looks like mercy.
I can’t promise anyone any specific thing. I can only promise that I’ll do what I consider to be the right thing, and to follow the law.
If this sounds appealing to you, go vote, even if you cross over to the red side. It won’t kill you. It will make you stronger.
